WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE - The NFL named Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers the NFC offensive player of the month for October 2009.

Rodgers earned the award by throwing for a combined 988 yards and seven touchdowns in the three games. He's also had four straight games with a passer rating above 100.

The NFL certainly is aware of the talent the Green Bay Packers hold. Just last month, Rodgers' teammate Charles Woodson was named the NFC defensive player of the month.
