WITI-GREEN BAY -
The impressive numbers Greg Jennings put up in the 2008-2009 season put him among the NFL's elite receivers. After leading the Packers with 1,292 receiving yards, his team-best average of 16.2 yards per catch was the third-best among the NFL's leading receivers. Now he's getting paid like an elite receiver.
An NFL source reports The Green Bay Packers have sign a new deal with Jennings on Tuesday. A deal that is expected to make him one of the highest paid receivers in the league behind Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald earns 10 million a year.
Jennings went through his normal routine during Packers mandatory mini camp Tuesday, and why wouldn't he? The receiver insists his focus will never veer from the team.
"I'm just trying to practice(and) perform at a high level regardless if the deal is done or not."
"Whether a deal is done, in the making, not in the making, I'm gonna be out here practicing, playing hard, trying to give our team the best chance to win."
