There's an immediate need for cleanup help, especially among people who may be alone or elderly. The City of Milwaukee is coordinating a volunteer effort to help many clean up the mess made by the July 22nd flash floods.
Thousands victims are calling the city's helpline(286-CITY) to get recovery assistance. City Officials say volunteers can also call the city's helpline to get on a volunteer list.
Volunteer efforts are being coordinated at Hampton Elementary School, where volunteers can show up August 1st at 9:00 a.m. A few crews are already on the streets helping residents cleanup.
