Here are the top cheeseburgers in alphabetical order:

Elsa's in Milwaukee has a substantial steak patty, with top notch cheese. The melted cheese on the bottom bun makes it mush before the burger makes it to the table. the LTP is top quality stuff, but for $1.50 extra it should be. Great burger, but the $12.70 prices is tough to swallow.

Fred's Parkview in Burlington claims to have the world's best burger. The lightly seasoned meat has outstanding flavor, and Fred's offers five cheese choices but the bun is a bit dry. They also charge extra for lettuce, and use shredded iceberg. At $4.95 it's a great deal.

Kil@wat in Milwaukee serves up a burger dripping with goodness and great char flavor. The sweet homemade pickles are a nice addition, good quality LTP too! A boring bun kept Kil@wat from stealing the spotlight.

Mazos Diner in Milwaukee has been serving burgers for three quarters of a century. The house ground beef is some of the best, and the LTP is solid. You can choose only between swiss and american cheese. This is Wisconsin for cryin out loud, and the bun was below average. For $5.25 it's a great burger for a great price.

Sobelman's in Milwaukee has a reputation for being one of the best burgers in the area. The burger itself was juicy, but a bit bland. The burger Brad Hicks tried was covered in colby cheese. Sobelman's stand out is the bun, a sweet butter roll that just makes your mouth happy. The burger game with thick tomato slices, but the tomato turned out to be pulpy and flavorless.

Stack'd in Milwaukee calls itself a burger bar. You can order their specialties or build your own. The cheeseburger is impressive stacked high. Stack'd offers a choice of delicious buns and cheese, and the LTP was outstanding. The burgers are grass fed beef, which has great flavor but is a bit dry. With the masses jonesing for juicy, some may have a beef with that.

So there are the most of the top cheeseburgers in the Milwaukee area. There was one cheeseburger that blew all the others away.

Langieppe on Greenfield in New Berlin has the top cheeseburger in the Milwaukee area. Langieppe is a southern term for a little something extra. That little something extra is what makes their cheeseburger number one. They use Wagyu beef in their burgers, it's a breed of steer derived from the famous kobe beef cattle in Japan. The special care the cattle receive carries in to the kitchen. The burger costs $10, the same many of the pubs were charging for Sirloin.
