WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE -
A mother and her two children are found murdered, and her infant son was kidnapped then safely recovered. A complex triple homicide, becomes a quadruple murder case.
Sunday afternoon there was briefing held inside the Police Administration Building. Police say they're still searching for the killers involved in this case, taking a hard look into the interrelations between the victims and possible suspects.
A triple murder case turns into a quadruple homicide investigation. Police Chief Ed Flynn says 19-year-old Brittany Robertson was shot and killed Friday on Milwaukee's northwest side. "We have identified suspects in her death, and we continue to follow that information."
Robertson is not only called a victim in this expanding case, police suspect she played a role in the three murders. "We believe Brittany Robertson was involved in the homicides of the three people whose bodies were discovered in their south side home."
Robertson's roommate 24-year-old Rachel Thompson and her two sons, four-year-old Torian Thompson Carter, and three-year-old Jaden Thompson Carter were found dead inside their house.
The discovery was made after firefighters put out a blaze at 12th and Walker early Friday morning, a fire now described as an arson.
Flynn said giving out the details of how Thompson and her family died could compromise the investigation. Further complicating the incident is how Thompson's infant son Maurice Visor was found alive. He was discovered outside a north side church in a baby seat.
Police don't know why he was put there, and didn't disclose who left him. The baby is doing fine and is with family.
Flynn wants everyone to know, "These homicides are the result of a small group of interconnected people known to each other none of these events were random acts."
Police ask if you have information in these crimes to give them a call at 414-935-7360.
