WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE - The Haiti aftershock was strong enough to be considered an earthquake by itself. As the devastation continues in Haiti, the relief efforts continue in Milwaukee.

For Pastor Paul the plight of earthquake ravaged Haiti is part of the chapel program. The pastor at Milwaukee's St. Marcus Church and School shares his reaction to reports of Wednesday's aftershock near Port Au Prince, Haiti. He says, "I trust the Lord knows what he's doin and trust that this will bring ultimate blessing, for Haiti, and the people, but you can never explain why."

"The people", include the pastor's twins adopted from the country's capital five years ago. One of the twins, Mackencia Steinberg, can't help but cry every time she looks at a picture of her birth parents. "The place that I used to live in is like being destroyed, and I wanna go back and visit it someday, but I can't do that if it's not there.", says Mackencia.

Mackencia explains helping Haiti has become a habit. In fact, long before the quake the other adopted twin, Mackenson Steinberg, donated $336 of his own money to help the struggling nation. He said, "Since I know God's word, I gave the money to Haiti, so other people would learn about God."

As he checks the frequent updates from a friend helping Haitian rescue efforts, Pastor Paul says Haiti needs everyone's help.

St. Marcus School actually sponsors 21 young students in Ile la Vage, Haiti. The cost is about $180 per school year, and without it those children could not attend school.
