WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE - Community leaders gathered in downtown Milwaukee Tuesday with a message for big banks. They want those banks to help clean up the foreclosure mess.

Members from the group Common Ground say they spent the last 18 months studying the foreclosure crisis in the Milwaukee area. They say three banks, Wells Fargo, US Bank and Deutsche Bank, control 25% of the foreclosures. They want those banks to pay $75 million to rehab and sell the foreclosed properties.

Wells Fargo responded saying in many cases, it had nothing to do with the loans. It's just name as trustee for pools of loans. Wells Fargo wants to work with Common Ground.
