WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE - The person who caused a fatal car accident on New Year's Day could spend up to 50 years in jail. 18-year-old Arlo Enoch has been charged with the death of 23-year-old Don Hamilton and 21-year-old Donte Pearson. Both were inside a vehicle that was struck by Enoch after he ran a red light, all while driving away from police.

18-year-old Dionne Thomas knows not to drink and drive. It's something she learned from her mother.Thomas says, "I'm just a person who is into school so, I just know."

Unfortunately 18-year-old Arlo Enoch didn't know better. On New Year's he drank, stole and SUV, and ran from the police. While driving away from the police he struck a vehicle killing two people. One of them was Dionne Thomas' brother, 23-year-old Don Hamilton.

According to the criminal complaint Arlo Enoch was so intoxicated the day of the accident, police had a hard time waking him up to do a blood test. When they did his Blood Alcohol Level registered at .143. "It's so unacceptable especially young people who should be get out of the situation that they're in are making their situation worse."

Enoch now faces five criminals charges, including homicide. Jackie Littlejohn, Hamilton's mother, is angry at the young man responsible for killing her son. She is also angry at the Milwaukee Police Department, and thinks they could've handled things differently to avoid the accident. Littlejohn says, "I blame them because they chased this young man, they could've stopped, they could've took the license plate."

If convicted Arlo Enoch could face more than 100 years behind bars up to $350,000 in fines and a revoked.
