A post on CraigsList lands a Cedarburg native in jail. 39-year-old Micah Stern now lives in New York City. But in Thursday, he was back in Cedarburg for a funeral. While he was in town, he got bored... and posted a graphic ad.
Cedarburg police detective Scott Yenke discovered the ad, which included animated pictures of an adult male and boy engaged in sex acts. Yenke contacted the State Department of Justice. Agents then quickly arranged a meeting at a Cedarburg McDonald's.
According to court records, Stern came to the restaurant expecting to meet a 14-year-old boy for a sexual encounter. Instead, he met a state agent who was posting as the 14-year-old online.
Stern is now in the Ozaukee County Jail on $8,000 cash bond.
