WITI-TV, KENOSHA - A Kenosha county man charged with molesting boys speaks out to FOX 6. A judge ordered that the former Village President of Silver Lake will move forward with a trial. In our video FOX 6 Reporter Myra Sanchick shows you why Ronald Wieland says he's innocent.

At 71-years-old, police say Ronald Wieland has gotten away with preying on boys for years. As a former Village President Wieland says the allegations are all just political attacks.

Wieland told FOX 6 that the cops were after him, because he once proposed doing away with a full-time police department in Silver Lake to save taxpayer money. Wieland says, "Silver Lake police have been after me for fifteen years".

In court Wednesday, two teenaged boys came to testify that Wieland molested them. The 15-year-old victim told the court how Wieland gave him pot and booze last week, then sexually assaulted him. In the criminal complaint another boy says Wieland molested him countless times from the time starting when he was 7-years-old.

Wieland denies it. He says, "I'm sort of like a counselor for the kids in town. They tell me things like how the cops raz them."

Silver Lakes police say they've gotten complaints about Wieland for years, arrested him for sexual assault in 2003, but he was never prosecuted. Recently young inmates in the Kenosha County Jail contacted police with more information.

Silver Lake Police Chief says, "One witness in particular said he saw some disturbing photographs. Which led us to follow up and talk to others who could be victims."

Police are convinced there are many, many more victims.

The Silver Lake Police Department says they searched his home armed with a warrant, and are recommending additional charges after finding some Marijuana there.
