WITI-TV, RIVER HILLS -
A River Hills teenager was badly beaten on Halloween. His attackers were arrested, and no further action was taken. FOX 6 Reporter Jake Miller spoke with the mother of the beaten teenager who is wondering why it is taking so long for the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office to formally charge her son's attackers.
Guard Pecor says he's thankful to be alive. On Halloween night 17-year-old Guard says he went to a party at a River Hills home off W. Dean Rd. down a long private street. He was there for a little while when someone told him the domelight in his car was on. When Guard went outside to check, he was attacked by two teens.
When witnesses came outside the two teens took off. Guard's jaw was broken in three places and his nose was also broken. Guard says the bicycle helmet he was wearing as apart of his costume saved his life.
River Hills Police found the two suspects and were arrested for battery in what they called an ambush assault, but now nearly four weeks later no charges have been brought against the teens arrested.
Guard and his mother Jo Ann appreciate the support from the community, but now they hope justice will be brought to those responsible.
Milwaukee County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Potter says it will be another two weeks before a charging decision is made. He was unavailable for further comment this evening.
River Hills police tell us the party was supervised, and alcohol did not play a factor.
