WITI-TV, MADISON -
Wisconsin National Guard buildings across the state will fly their flags at half-staff on Saturday in honor of a fallen Navy pilot from the state. Lt. Bret Miller of East Troy died Oct. 28 when the T-34C Turbomentor aircraft he was aboard crashed off the Gulf Coast of Texas during a training mission. He was 30.
Gov. Jim Doyle announced the executive order to lower the flags on Friday.
Miller and Lt. John Joseph Houston, of Houston, were on a routine training flight when their plan disappeared.
