WITI-TV, MADISON - Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett was in Madison during President Obama's visit, but says the president did not talk with him about his decision whether to run for governor next year.

That doesn't matter to one Barrett supporter. 15-year-old Asher Heimermann is behind a push to get the Milwaukee mayor into the race of governor in 2010. Heimermann is garnering support for the possible Barrett camgpaign online through his website.

Barrett says he and Obama spoke briefly in Madison before the president's speech, but it was all about education.

Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Reince Priebus said earlier on Wednesday that the whole purpose of Obama's visit was to persuade Barrett to run for governor.

If Barrett decides to run, Heimermann will donate any money generated by his website will go to the Barrett campaign. If Barrett decides against running for governor, Heimermann will donate the money to charity.
