WITI-TV, GREENDALE - Greendale Public Schools is closing Canterbury Elementary from Tuesday through Thursday this week due to the high number of students with H1N1 flu-like illness being reported. Walworth Elementary and Middle Schools will also be closed for the rest of the week because so many students are out with flu.

Assuming the spread of the illness is slowed, classes in Greendale will be back in session on Friday. All other district schools will remain open at this time. Parents of students who attend Canterbury may be notified of further developments through School Messenger. Parents should also monitor the school district's web site by CLICKING HERE.

Public health officials in Walworth say five cases in their community are confirmed to be H1N1. The Walworth schools are being cleaned this week and they hope to reopen next week.
