WITI-TV, MILWAUKEE -
The United Way of Greater Milwaukee is ready to kick off its annual "Days of Caring" and it needs your help. "Days of Caring" connects volunteers with local non-profit organizations to give them much-needed help.
This year, the need for volunteers is critical. More than 1,500 volunteers are needed to help with about 100 projects.
Milwaukee's Rockwell Automation is one of United Way's biggest supporters. More than 800 of its employees volunteer for this cause.
"Once you've experienced it, it sells itself. There is nothing that feels better than coming back from a day of helping other people," said Steve Gomoll from Rockwell.
Rockwell believes so strongly in the United Way campaign, it gives its employees a day off in exchange for their day of volunteering.
Whether you're a company or an individual, United Way could really use your help for the "Days of Caring." To volunteer, simply call 414-263-8100.
