FOX6 and the YMCA have partnered together for the 2nd annual Family Health Challenge! The challenge will involve six families for six months, working to get healthy.

Each family will track their progress during six months and have a chance to win a free YMCA family membership and a vacation package. "At home" participants also have a chance to win a free YMCA membership simply by becoming our Facebook fan. After you've become a fan, increase your odds of winning by sharing your own progress on Facebook as you take the challenge at home.

NOTE: You do not have to be a YMCA member to take the challenge!

The FOX6 YMCA Family Health Challenge is now underway. You can learn more about the six families and track their progress by reading their weekly journals just below.

The YMCA designed the weekly workouts below to help you form an exercise routine. Try to do an upper, core and lower workout 2-3 times a week and incorporate 2- 3 non-consecutive days of cardio for at least 30 minutes. Follow along each week as we add new workouts and mix and match the workouts to create a variety of full body routines to fit your personal goals.
